VIRGIN PENNY COLADA

DESCRIPTION: This is an easier version of the "Penny Colada" Two-Step Mixer.

POSITION: C/W Closed (Couple faces each other and gent has lady's Right hand in his Left. His Right hand is on her shoulder, her Left hand is just above his elbow. Couples dance counterclockwise around the dance floor.

Note: "Basic" means 1 basic two step pattern and may be stepped - 1, 2&3 = Slow, Slow Quick Quick, or 1&2, 3 = Quick Quick Quick. Slow - counting DOWNBEATS and upbeats so that "THO' you TOOK the Sunshine OUT of my" equals four beats (1 full measure) of music
Note: "Left Wrap" - Lady is at gent's left side, her arms are crossed in front with her Left arm on top. The gent's Left arm is behind the lady and their hands are joined a waist level.

Basic 1 Forward LOD
Basic 2 Forward LOD
Basic 3 Gent turns lady 1 full CW turn, switching hand over her head and ends in side-by- side (Cotton Eyed Joe) position
Basic 4 Forward LOD in side-by-side position
Basic 5 Forward LOD in side-by-side position
Basic 6 Gent turns CW 1/4 turn. At the same time he turns the lady CW 1 1/4 turns switching her left hand to his right. (At this point all dancers are facing the outside wall and the gent's original partner is on his Right side
Basic 7 The gent turns loose with his Right hand and extends his Left hand to his
"new" partner and pulls her into a Left Wrap.* The lady will turn CW 1 full turn and the couple will end facing LOD
Basic 8 Forward LOD in wrap position
Basic 9 Gent rolls the lady CCW in a 1 1/2 turn to face him. Couple assumes C/W closed position
